The precipice we are hoping for is, of course, a drop off from winter into spring, February 2015 being the coldest month on record for Rochester. With rain forecast for Wednesday, the precipice may be steep enough to cause flooding in those spots that are prone to such things. Be careful what you ask for and all that.

Corky and I did our Valentine's Day wine touring two weeks late yesterday, the weather on the 14th having been great weather to be in or out but not one the way. Route 96 would have been white and deadly. Yesterday, however, it was gorgeous, sunny and clear and a balmy 23oF. We drove down to Lucas and Goose Watch, two of our favorite Finger Lakes wineries. Since we only stopped at two, I got to do the tastings. (Otherwise it goes from wine tour to photography tour after the first two stops. This time I got to do both.)

It's time for bed. Precipitously?
