To pray, to speak to God or simply be still in his presence, is the heart of the Christian's life and worship. So many forms it takes, the half-awake greeting at rising, the morning praises and evening thanksgiving, the simple goodnight before retiring, and all the intercessions and thanks and cries for help in between.

To pray without ceasing, always to have one's ears and heart and will open to God, is the Christian's true calling, so that it may be no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me and the life I know live in the flesh I may live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me.

Yesterday's prompt from http://writealm.com/july-prompts/. Written in my journal last night, transcribed this morning. A quality fountain pen is an invitation to write.
