The Message
Anyone can get breast cancer but 1 in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. It is not enough to be aware of this, we must hear this message and look after our own health. Learning to self-examine (once a month) and spot the warning signs could save your life. Start today.

“Doctors were stunned I’d found it. Not because it was so hard to find but because “young people don’t check". There’s a dangerous cloud of “it won’t happen to me" hanging around and the message that nobody is immune regardless of age, race, gender, and so on seems to be getting very lost. Without examination in my routine I wouldn’t have known enough about myself to identify an issue and my prognosis would have been far worse. Early detection is so important. “
Rebecca, 31.

How to participate
In any artistic way of your choosing (e.g. drawing, poetry, music, choreography, crafts and so on) create something that has been inspired by the word of that day and share it on social media noting why you’ve created it. The “challenge" is to create something every day but all participation is welcome. You can join in on whatever day of the month it is, or only do one every other day, it’s up to you.
