For those of you who have not met him, our second son, Robert, age 35, lives in a group home run by Heritage Christian Services. He's been there eight years and loves it. Oh, what a crew he and his four housemates are.
Rob decided he wanted to be a photographer, just like Dad. So we helped him pick out a Canon Rebel XS and a tripod to help him concentrate on keeping it steady and turned him loose. I set him up on deviantArt as http://RobertTryon.deviantArt.com. For a while he did quite well, even putting on a couple of shows, but of late he's done more carrying of his gear back and forth than actually using it.
I got a note from one of the board members at Rochester Presbyterian Home asking if Rob and I would like to do another show there for the residents, our show in 2011 having been quite well received. I said yes, which meant that I had to nudge Rob back into the photography business.
I suggested and Rob enthusiastically agreed, that we make Sunday afternoon our photography outing time.
Last Sunday we went to the Lamberton Conservatory in Rochester's Highland Park, a wonderful place.
Here are a few of Rob's photos, including the obligatory shot of photog Dad.
