Life is complicated and ambiguous, but you already knew that if you are the least bit honest with yourself.
We really dislike ambiguity. I want my questions answered with "yes" or "no" and not "it depends" even if (or especially since) the working out of simple principles involves a whole lot of "it depends".
Tonight we get on the Amtrak for Iowa and a pair of funerals. I'm looking forward to some peaceful coffee or tea along the way. And probably a beer.
