Exhale is what I do on Saturday. Yesterday's sun and warmth gave way to today's rain and coolness. We have not yet put the windows back up on the front porch. I am sitting out here with the Chromebook in my lap, typing away in Evernote. Corky came out to join me and to see if there was any coffee left in the jug. There was, a little.
The rain has stopped for now. They say we're expected to get some sunshine this afternoon. That should be pretty. The leaves up here by the lake are still mostly green, but bits of red and orange starting to show around the edges. We lost a few with last night's wind.
The mail carrier lady stopped by. She and Corky are talking. She's wearing stout walking shoes, a skirt, a hoodie, and a raincoat, good, practical clothes for the job and the weather. As the saying goes, there's no such thing as inclement weather, just inappropriate clothing. She wore a bright smile with her blue uniform and red hair. I am sure there are mail carriers with walking routes who don't like their job; I'm not sure I have met any.
Exhale.
