To proclaim, "I have a dream!" so close on the heels of Martin Luther King Day would seem not unlike trampling on holy ground. It's already been said, in words more powerful than I could muster.
I am content to say, "I have a dream" in a softer voice.
Death and dying have been much on my mind. My dad died in November; sister Shirlee died last week. If I were on my death bed this evening, what would I want to leave with people? What would I want people to remember about me, or from me?
Beauty lurks in unexpected places. Open your eyes and see it.
There is peace, and even love, to be found in unexpected places. Open your heart and see it.
