Kitchen sink. What to think? Need a drink? Skating rink. (But only if it freezes, which, thankfully, it has not.)

I used to develop my film by the kitchen sink. Now I use the basement and set my equipment on the washer and drier. Corky doesn't mind; I keep a clean darkroom.

What a day this has been. The Audi A6 failed its New York State inspection, as expected. It would have cost way more to fix than I had or was interested in spending. It has served well; it is destined to become a WXXI car. I pulled the plates off it this evening.

We had figured on the Audi not surviving the inspection and had planned to go back to having just one car, though I hated giving up the manual-shift A6, smooth as silk as it is. Ah, life.

The unexpected turn was that Universal Imports had just taken in a BMW manual-shift sedan. It was love at first site. I don't have all the specs, but it is gorgeous. It also has 200K+ miles on it, which brings down the price to where an ordinary mortal can afford it. By refinancing the X3 we now have they can get us into the sedan for about $40 more per month than what we are paying now. That times twenty-four months is about what I figure it would have taken to get the A6 back on the road.

And now you know why I couldn't think of anything coherent to say about the kitchen sink.

G'night, all.

Because that's the way life goes sometimes, that's why.
