There is a phenomenon, unknown to digital photographers, known as "last shot on the roll". The Yashica-D gets twelve shots to a roll of 120 film. I keep careful track of how many shots I have left on the roll. When I'm down to the last shot and I want to finish the roll so I can develop it, I start looking around for something interesting, especially if I'm about to walk back into the building.  And if I am at home wanting to finish off the roll, family members and cats beware!

One never knows what I might come up with.  Here's a sampler from the past couple of months.  I'll dig back further in another post.

This speed-checker had been begging for a portrait. It finally got one -- the last shot on the roll.

I snapped the shot and walked in the door.  I even opened up the camera to show the guard how it worked.

Heading out to the car.  There weren't enough clouds to fill the square so I included the sun.

Pinhole shot inside the piano.  I bumped the camera as I took of the lens cap to start the exposure.

The flowers outside our front door.  I wanted to start a fresh roll for my neighborhood walk with my wife.

(We had a lovely walk.)
