Figuring out a couple years ago that I was an artist at heart even though I made my living as a software developer.

Finding that I can't get away with burning the candle at both ends the way I used to be able to.

Realizing that for better and for worse I am my father's son.

Getting a DSLR only to find out a couple years later that film was more fun.

Being reminded that I am not a business entrepreneur. There's good reason I have worked for other people my entire working career.

I really like our little house with a real front porch.

Sixty three is not at all a bad age to be. I will not live forever on this old earth, and that's just fine.

Retirement is sounding a lot more appealing. I may even be able to afford to do so some day.

What used to matter a lot doesn't matter so much any more.

I am created in the image of God even if there is more of me than is either necessary or helpful.

I am God's gift to the world and so are you.

I have missed writing.

The Argus C3 Brick is a very cool camera.

(If I fail to see the image of God when I look at myself or at you, it's a good sign that I need to adjust my thinking or my living or, likely enough, both.)
